About

I collect things without meaning to. Conversations, half-formed opinions, the odd repeated word from people who’ve never met each other. I don’t judge any of it, I just gather, and sometimes I see a pattern show up before I know what it means yet.

Seven years across AKQA and R/GA taught me where those patterns actually matter: inside a service, a product, the everyday experience someone has with a brand, not just a campaign. That’s how I think about culture and comms, from inside the system out rather than off the surface.

What interests me is how a brand earns its place in culture instead of interrupting it. Brands aren’t built top-down through campaigns anymore, they’re pieced together across creators, communities, platforms, moments, the same scattered pieces I’m used to gathering before they add up to anything. That intersection of brand, product and culture, not any one lane alone, is where I want to keep looking.

Service DesignResearch SynthesisTransformation Roadmap

Australia and New Zealand’s peak body for specialist physicians had a trust problem: members felt it was processing their career rather than partnering in it. Through 200+ data points of research, one truth cut through everything else: members didn't want better tools. They wanted to feel seen at the moments that mattered most. That single insight reframed the entire engagement, anchoring the Service Blueprint, 3-Horizon roadmap, and measurement framework.

AI StrategyField ResearchBusiness Case

An AI assistant for Toyota’s dealer network. A single platform giving dealers instant access to vehicle specs, pricing, inventory, and customer data across systems they previously navigated manually. Dealers were juggling 12+ disconnected systems just to answer basic questions. I ran the on-site Genchi research, saw the original brief was answering the wrong question, and reframed it: what started as an efficiency project became a case for a unified Azure OpenAI platform that changes how dealers work. I built the value proposition, the time-saving models, and the narrative that secured executive buy-in. Research to business case to roadmap. Now being built.

Product StrategyUser TestingStorytellingROI Framing

A unified digital car-buying platform letting customers explore, configure, and personalise their vehicle, bridging online research and the dealership. AI was reshaping the purchase funnel faster than Toyota could keep pace, and “innovative” features risked doing more harm than good. I interviewed stakeholders, shaped the research, and built the ROI framing. User testing was clear: people want a co-pilot, not an autopilot. Where I made my mark was the storytelling. Distilling a sprawling engagement into a narrative that moved the room.

Loyalty StrategyRewards DesignBrand StrategyCommsWorkshoppingLaunch Strategy

Australia’s first Toyota loyalty platform, bringing together rewards, servicing, wishlists, and vehicle management in one place. Freshly launched and already at over 200,000+ members overall. I worked across the rewards and comms strategy, from value chain architecture and loyalty mechanics through to workshopping with stakeholders and shaping the launch strategy, defining how it all could drive repeat servicing, accessory purchases, and long-term retention across Toyota’s ecosystem.

Community StrategyEcosystem ResearchAudience Insight

Toyota’s loyalty and community program for GR performance car owners, a fanbase built around track days, events, and driving culture. The community had real energy, but Toyota’s digital ecosystem wasn’t doing anything with it. Through landscape analysis, heatmapping, and benchmarking against Lego, Wendy’s, and Glossier, we surfaced the key gaps and growth levers. The output shaped Toyota’s 3-year GRC digital roadmap.

Moderated TestingUnmoderated TestingCX Optimisation

Ongoing moderated and unmoderated usability research across Toyota, NSW SES, and Inclusion Melbourne, translating real user behaviour into optimisation strategies and prioritised roadmaps. Facilitating sessions that surface genuine insight rather than polished answers, and turning what people actually do into decisions clients act on.

Other Interests

The projects I run outside work are where I experiment with the things that genuinely interest me: community, behaviour, experience, and culture. They sharpen instincts that formal strategy work can’t always reach. I’m drawn to the question of what makes people gather.

Party in the Pines 2022/23 — 2025/26

Four seasons of NYE in Daylesford. End-to-end event production: concept, logistics, experience design, and making strangers feel like they belong somewhere together.

Arbitrage Betting Business 2017 — 2020

Built and ran an arbitrage betting operation with a small community of fellow operators. Data analysis, community management, and understanding risk-taking behaviour in high-stakes systems.

Melbourne High Old Boys Football Club 2016 — 2024

Volunteer marketing coordinator for the MHSOB footy club. Revamped the website and social media presence from the ground up — building the club’s digital identity and keeping the community connected season to season.

Let’s talk.
